BlueSphere Bio was founded to deploy its novel TCXpress™ technology to unlock the potential of personalized T cell therapy for the treatment of cancer by harnessing the unique specificity of each patient’s T cells for the molecular fingerprint of each patient’s cancer.

Our trailblazing, proprietary TCXpress platform is an elegant, rapid approach that exploits the patient’s immune defenses to attack their cancer specifically and is designed to leave normal tissues untouched, thereby reducing harmful side effects.

The TCXpress™ platform and its implementation will allow us to deliver rapid, personalized T cell treatments for various cancer indications.

Purpose
The Director, Information Technology will plan, direct and implement technology applications, procedures, and infrastructure across the organization.

The position requires a self-disciplined and organized person with a strong drive to achieve results. The responsibilities are broad in scope requiring the ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously. A successful candidate can handle details and apply expertise in a hands-on manner and set direction, delegate, and hold others accountable. In addition, the ideal candidate understands how to utilize technology to drive business improvement and results through its employees and for the benefit of its end customers. This position reports directly to the Chief Business Officer and is located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Overall management and direction of the information technology function in support of the company’s strategic plan
• Works with the leadership team to develop a company-wide business and strategic plan for IT.
• Develops and implements infrastructure and software development goals, objectives, policies, and procedures.
• Ensures proper functioning of the company’s equipment, applications, and infrastructure and manages systems support and enhancements.
• Development and execution of security and disaster recovery strategies
• Manages information technology projects and coordinates project activities to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope.
• Consults with management, users, technical staff, and vendors to assess and address information technology needs and system requirements relative to business requirements
• Directs the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations and alignment with company goals and objectives; advises management as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Work Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems or equivalent
• Eight (8) to ten (10) years of experience related to managing the information technology function and supporting internal users
• Proficiency in judgment and problem-solving skills
• Well-developed facilitation skills to work among individuals from various departments and locations.
• Must be adaptable and able to manage in a dynamic environment effectively.
• Ability to demonstrate proficiency in interpersonal skills, including effective collaboration and communication skills; ability to work in a team-oriented environment, showing a positive attitude
• Ability to effectively evaluate and respond appropriately to situations to the benefit of the customer; strong sense of urgency, ability to multi-task, and strong organizational skills
• Ability to adapt to ever-changing work priorities and environment; ability to multi-task.
